Brokencyde? Paramore? Eeewww. Personally, if you say you want to expand your music, go for something you'd like. The Arcade Fire, Beck, Silversun Pickups, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Swell Season. If you like them, you should go a little further. Bands like Pink Floyd and David Bowie are a natural progression. If you don't like that kind of music then maybe you should be pointed in a different direction then what I'm giving you.
