just try different genres, a couple minutes isn't much to decide if you like the band or not, I like heavy and fast music as I'm a metal guitarist. but the last bands I've listened to are; Atreyu, bullet for my valentine, behemoth, three days grace, avenged sevenfold, children of bodom, papa roach, iron maiden, Go Crazy ^_^

get yourself educated with some decent rock music ; ) seriously though , u may need to narrow it down slightly there's a lot of music out there ... And without knowing how old u are it's hard to say what you may have come across cause it depends what generation you grew up in.. go on youtube and type in a style of music theres tons of stuff on there new and old..

go onto ultimate-guitar.com click top 100 and get the best guitar song's from over the years in a big list then try some of those if you find an artist you like then listen to more of there stuff
