Songs/albums/music videos that make you think of the desert or tundra/arctic?
-
Hi I am looking for songs, or albums, or music videos that make you think of the desert... long journeys, something introspective or mysterious, maybe something with an "arabic" feel to it if you get what I mean, but just anything that makes you think of the desert or any barren landscape, like the tundra/arctic is another one. Doesn't have to have vocals but it can. And please do not suggest Darude - Sandstorm. Thanks!

Answer:
Bitches Brew (album) by Miles Davis (1970) evokes all of what you just said to ME. Very awesome! Essential for fusion jazz. For an arabic feeling track, go with "Pharoah's Dance" or "Miles Runs the Voodoo Down". They're very long but i'm sure you'll find some stuff in it worth listening to.
