How can i get better at singing?

  • im currently half way through my first year of my music gcse and we have to do a group performance and i think i know who i will be doing to but we both play piano so i was thinking about singing instead. I can sing some of elliot minors, owl citys and evanescences songs and i can sing a few others but i have trouble reaching high notes. is there anything i can do to make my voice sound better but please dont say singing lessons since im only 14 and dont have enough money to pay for them and my mum and dad wont pay for them and to be honest i dont have enough time. thaks for any ideas you might have.

    Join a choir and you will improve a lot. Try auditioning for a choir or audition for musical theater. If you have a music teacher at your school talk to them and ask them for ideas and ways to practice singing and tips on how to improve your voice. Also on youtube there a tons of videos on ways to practice singing correctly and singing tips and if you practice, practice, practice, you will become better.

i think u should sing evanescence and to reach hight pitches u should practice the music scale like do,re,mi,fa,sol,la,ti,do up and down and help clear the scratchiness in your throat its okay i did an evanescence song cut when i was rehearsing it for the talentshow i had tht problem so up until the show ikept singing the scale over and over after night and night day and day until i got it now im offered singing auditions i hope u this works for you you should definately do the singing in group performance good luck :)
