Where in london can I go to free vocal singing lessons for part-time?

  • well i want to be a singer and go on x factor to sing to the judges. im right now 14 and its been a long dream of mines to be a singer some day. but seeing so much competition in the music industry i decided to be a doctor incase i wont be a good artist. well the my reson starts back in primary school where i used to sing alot and was told by many teachers that i have a good vocal voice. after that i took part in many school plays and also sang solos in the plays. when i moved to secondary my interest in the songs we sang there faded but i still enjoyed singing but didnt do as much as i used to. after talking to my music teacher he told me that my voice can be pulled up a notch by vocal singing lessons and told me to try to go to vocal singing lessons after school for atlest 2 days a week. iv searched over the internet to find palces in london where i can go. but most of them are not for my age and cost money which my parents in thier bad situation right now will not pay for. so does anyone now of good places round east and central london where i can go to improve my singing for free? or atleat for a good but cheap price?

    search on gumtree you'll find events and people offering to help for free. check out this ad for a free workshop for kids in September! Edit: Also, think about joining a local choir.

I don't think that you would get good quality lessons for free - for all types of lessons whether instruments, singing, acting etc., you generally have to pay for quality.

you won't find any free, my daughter goes to a musical theatre school that specialises in young voices, they takes on students by audition only in this company and training groups, already have good enough skills that require polishing and the opportunity to sing in public, you'll be offered a place in the company, show promise a place in the training groups, they also runs 2 summer schools one for which you need to audition, one open to all, in September they will open their first academy open to all. they use unique training methods as in they use with professionals rehearsing for a show, each week rehearses for the end of term review teaching techniques to sing and dance together whilst telling the story through the song and dance. the musical director also teaches by skype. if you want more information on this please feel free to contact me, other ways use internet search engines for teachers in your are or other skype teachers or ask your music teacher if she can recommend someone.
