What is a good song for an Alto singer (not a broadway musical?)?

• I did a talent show last year and sand Taylor Swift's I'd lie. I feel like I chose the wrong song for me, because it did not turn out as well as it could have. I think if I chose my song and begin practicing earlier, I could do better. Does anyone know of a popular song that would work for me? I do not want a broadway song, seeing as I am doing a middle school talent show. Also I love Bethany Dillon, Carrie Underwood, and Taylor Swift. Thank you!

  Yeah if your and alto I wouldn't have chosen Id lie for your song. I would suggest something more like White horse- Taylor Swift Tim McGraw- Taylor Swift I could list a lot more but something low make sure you can hit all the note with out hurting your throat. Pick a song that you love cuz if you don't the performance wont be as good.
