How can I get noticed for my singing ability at my age?

  • I have been told that I have an outstanding singing talent, but I am way too shy to show anyone. No one in my family knows that I can sing. Only my friends know that I can sing. I also have a studio at my house, that I only use when I am home alone, and I write tons of songs and music, and I just want my voice to be heard. How can I get noticed my labels such as Vibe Records and Atlantic Records (I live in Georgia by the way) any advice you all could give?

    YOUTUBE! Best place to get noticed. Upload a video of you singing, and pass the link on to everyone! Even if you don't know them. You also say you have a studio. You can try recording a song (or a few) and send them to the music labels you are interested in (and send them to any others you can find, not everyone starts on a major label!). Good-luck, and don't give up! The music industry is a hard business to get into, so don't let one or two 'no's get you down!

My advice? Believe in yourself. And get yourself out into the world. Post videos of you singing cover songs on YouTube, or enter for American Idol. Maybe you'll get lucky! Just look at Justin Bieber! He started on YouTube. You could even go to places with karaoke nights- thats how Selena Gomez got started! But anyway, make a demo CD of all your music at your best and send it to many record labels, and maybe I'll hear you singing on the radio in a few years. Also, you should start out by showing your family that you can sing. You won't be so shy after they provide you with lots of confidence. :) Good Luck!
