How can i get better at singing?

How can i get my singing better?

  • I am 15 and I have never been good and singing but now I'm learning how to play the ukulele and i think I need to be able to sing better so does anyone know any ways please because I'm a boy and my singing voice sounds slightly croaky so I have to make my voice a higher pitch to stop that is there anyway to not do this or any tips? Thank you :)

    mmm, castration was the preferred method in 'ye olde days' to give men a higher voice, But i'm guessing your not going to go for that.

although great singing is determined in genetics, everyone can be atleast an average singer. and keep a note. You should learn piano, not keyboard. Piano simulates the human voice, the best, so if you can harmonize with a piano, you are in good shape. The other alternatives is take a choir class, and practice singing your favorite songs. singing is control, but nothing replaces experience. As far as croaky, you either have vocal damage or you have a break in your voice. Breaks are common for men between head voice and falsetto. The only way to get rid of that is to talk in that said pitch. Talking = singing! You probably noticed your best pitches are the ones in your natural talking range. Its because you practice in those ranges all the time.

sign up for your school choir and ask your choir teacher if she know where you can get voice lesson's are ask if you can stay after school and pratice
