What type of trumpet should i get?

How do you get gigs in "little" type places? What are some "little" type places to get gigs in?

• If you've seen the movie "Alice's Restaurant", what I mean is the little type of places he played at in that movie. If you haven't, what I mean is... well little type of places. Not dangerous bars where they expect hard rock either. What are some "little" type places that usually pay you to perform there? And how do I get gigs in those type places?

  Hello, Many coffee shops, especially in college towns, have open mic nights when anyone who is so inclined can get up and perform. I would hit the phone book and call the coffee houses in your area to see who does that. As far as festivals go, I think a search such as Google or Yahoo is the best way to find out what's happening.
