Am I a soprano or an alto?

I did a cover of On My Own from Les Miserables; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gf1B8A68jvw&feature=channel_video_title And also Someone Like You by Adele: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYDDjB3yWl0&feature=feedu I love singing and it'd be great if anyone could tell me if I'm any good or if there's any way for me to improve or if it's just hopeless. I've never been for classes or anything specifically for singing because I've only recently started developing an interest in doing it properly. The video is pretty short so I hope it's not a bother to check out. Would anyone mind also telling me whether I'm a soprano or an alto? And could anybody recommend me some songs that would be suitable for my voice? That would be so great and I'd be so grateful Thanks so much!

I have to ask you some questions before I can give you a proper answer. In voice lessons there are a lot of back and forth questions between the student and the teacher so together they can find where the student is really at with their voice and what they need, and whether or not they are soprano or alto. It sounds to me like you could sing both alto and soprano, but just from listening to you I am thinking your voice is leaning more towards soprano. I am a definite soprano and I can sing a long with your voice very comfortably. Anyway, I have taken voice lessons and given some voice lessons and really been able to help people, so if you want me to work with you a bit online I have a youtube channel too, and I could discuss things with you further. First off you have a great voice for musical theater. You're a mezzo soprano (soprano 2). I say that because of the songs you picked however if you think you've got a strong chest voice then you might be an alto and if you can sing your way up to a C6 then your a first. As for songs. Have you heard of the musical 25 annual Putnam County Spelling Bee? There are plenty of songs in there that I think fit your voice wonderfully. Also Little Red Riding hood's song from Into the woods.
If your voice is really high you are a soprano. If your voice is low you are an alto.
