How do I sing properly?

  • I have a horrible sore throat and I know I'm doing something wrong. I've been told I have a good voice and that's cool, but I don't want to ruin it after I just realized I could sing lol! Ahhhh, this is making me so frustrated! They say sing from your belly but that is soooooo confusing! After every other word I've started to take these big obnoxious gasps for air trying to sing my my stomach! I can't even focus on the words because I'm too busy gasping for air and trying to make my stomach look like a balloon! This is NOT working! HELP PUHLEASE!!!!!!! When you breath, you feel your stomach move, but yet I have this sore throat so WHAT DO I DO? I need a DETAILED answer on how to breath correctly lol.

    If you're still in school sign up for choir! (If you're not already). Also, I think it would be beneficial to take some voice lessons. There might be options at your school or you could find a vocal coach through family and friends. Most teachers charge $20 a lesson. I took voice lessons all throughout high school and I learned so much! You should give it a try!

It is something you acquire we had to do this at work. You will breath not so much in lungs but deeper, as when you do that lungs expand and that is how you breath. You are maybe concentrating on doing it so much you can not. There are people who give those lessons and vocal sounds. It is hard to explain I also was thinking too much to do that. LOL I know your stomach is not going to move much. You could just type that in or join a class which does teach that even at your local school. Good luck
