How do you make a backwards R?

How do i make my voice sound more R&B and less pop?

• Idk what happened I use to sing more r&b like but now I sound pop\rockish...I just sing for fun so its not like I do it a lot but my voice doesn't sound the same when I sing.I think I sing better like I'm not cracking or off pitch..ppl have always said I don't talk black or that I'm white washed-that's an insult to me but maybe that's why I sound like a certain genre? Back when I could sing more r&b like I didn't listen to a lot of rock but mostly r&b rap and pop...now I kinda listen to rock more but its mostly male artists/bands and I still listen to r&b pop and rap like I use to.I just listen to more rock that's from the 2000s mostly early to mid.....I like the way I sing but kinda wish people would stop saying I sound white when I talk
