Can someone give me good song ideas for my senior solo?

Guy/girl duet for solo/ensemble?

• Hey I'm in high school and so for vocal solo/ensemble I want to do a song with my guy friend but we need more ideas for songs. Now, it's solo/ensemble so it can't be pop or stuff like that. More like Scarborough fair or homeward bound but for a guy girl duet. Hopefully someone can help. Just give me a bunch of lists. THANKS!

  As someone else said, the songs from the High School Musical movies, or Camp Rock, are good ones; however, you could also try the song Cabaret, as this has been written as a solo as well as a choral piece (with many different versions, like SATB, SSA, SAB etc., so that it can be sung by most choirs). I know that this sounds like a pop song, but you can ask the pianist to slow it down, which would make one part of the song - where you are just singing ba da da da daaaaaa etc. MUCH easier. Another one you could try is called Try to remember, and it is from a musical called The Fantasticks. Again, this can be sung as a solo, but can also be sung by a 2-part, SATB, SAB or SSA choir.
