How could our band find a singer?

Have you tried advertising? "Band looking for a good Rock/Metal vocalist" Call XXX-XXX-XXXX and ask for so and so (I'd only state a first name). If you get any answers, when they call be sure to ask their age (or even put an age range in the ad). You don't want someone so much older than you that they try to take over control of the band. Another idea might be to find a local bar that does not serve alcohol and has karaoke on those nights, or sometimes a place like a bowling alley has karaoke nights, etc. Listen to the singers that sing the genre of songs you want to perform and then talk to them after they have sung. Remember to take a small notebook to take down their name and phone number in case you find one that is interested. Again, be aware of their age. Going to a place where you are legally allowed to go at your age increases chances of others your age being there to sing.
