• I just have a few questions about online auditions for SM Entertainment. 1) I am 13 this year , am I too young to audition? 2) Can I say my specialty is ; singing ballads? 3) I do not understand the scanned pictures part . Is it a passport photo? 4) I actually have acne on my face . And my teeth isn't that straight . And I'm not that fair like Girls' Generation's Tiffany . And I weigh like 45 kg . Will that affect my chances of getting accepted? 5) Current school year ? Did they mean like I'm 13 so like Year 7 ? 6) I live in Malaysia so if I get accepted how do i go for a live audition ? Will they pay for me or do I have to go myself ? 7) Will they send me to a school if I get accepted? 8) Will they pay for school ? 9) How long does it take for a trainee to debut ? 10) If i'm not perfect , will they fix my facial features ? 11 ) What if i can't make it to the live audition ? Then what will I do? 12 ) Who watches our audition clips we email to SM AUDITION? 13 ) I can't exactly dance freestyle but if they show me some steps I can follow .   dont worry, i think i have some helpul info for you. because i myself, already auditioned for SMTown a few months ago and got in, but i said no to them because i did not want to leave my girl group 6T33N (were planning to audition together) 1) No, you are not too young. Im 12 and they want their auditioneers to be young so they can train them at an earlier age. 2) yes you can, when they mean specialties, they ask for what you are best at. 3) the scanned pictures is basically a few clear photos of you, A headshot (photo of your face), waist up, and full body shot. also include some other photos of you from a different angle, it helps alot. 4) the acne you can get rid of, just use an acne cream. for your teeth, it depends, only if its really bad and you need braces, otherwise your teeth wouldnt matter. they prefer pale skin, but i'm tan (light tan, i guess im kinda fair) and I still made it in. 5)current school year is what school grade you are in. 7th grade, 8th grade, etc. 6) since you live in malaysia, you would have to fly there, and pay for your own ticket (i know right, it sucks.) 7)yes they will, when you are accepted, they send you to their own school (each company has their own school where you take singing, dancing, acting classes while learning regular school subjects. so its kind of like an Arts Academy. SMTown has schools in south korea, and in california) 8)yes, they will pay for your school 9) that depends on how talented you are. its usually 1-4 years.(they train you in singing, acting, dancing, and also have you lose weight and stuff) 10) more likely no, some of the companies have been getting sewed lately for giving their stars heavey plastic surgery. that is why they want the people who audition to have decent looks. (if they do gice you surgery, it would be minor changes, and if you did, it would look natural because south korea is number 1 in plastic surgery) 11) if you can't make it to the live audition, just explain to them that you can't make it, and just send them a video audition 12) other people can watch you, but it is also the company watching you. (the more views you have, the better chance you have of getting in) 13) it may affect your chance of getting in because there are 2 rounds of the live audition where you dance. the first round is where you dance in a room with other ppl with a group of judges and they pick a song for you to dance to. the second round is where you pick your own song and dance to it (cover dances, original dance routines are allowed) 14) sadly, no you can't. but you can audition for all the other copmpanies. there are alot so don't worry, you can always audition anytime. (for JYPE, you can audition again right after) anyway, good luck! and dont worry, when i auditioned, i was nervous at first but got over it. the first round is dancing with other ppl to a song the company picks, its freestyle (so just let yourself get lost in the music and dance your heart out, trust me, it works.) the second round: you sing to a capella (only the songs background music) your alllowed to sing your own cover songs, your very own song (one you wrote), or the original lyrics there will be judges who tell you their opinions of your singing, what they rate you, and what you need to improve on. the third round: dancing to a song you pick, cover dances, orginal, or freestyle are allowed. there is a group of judges who watch you and tell you what you need to improve on and how good you are, they also tell you their honest opinion of you dancing. the fourth round: it's just an interview of where they ask you questions about yourself. (really easy) like i said, good luck :D don't be nervous, just be yourself and put a great effort in it like i did, and you can pass the audition.
