Can I increase my chest voice range?

I am just turning 17 and my range is G3-C5. I would like to know if my chest voice range will increase with age (or possibly decrease) and if there is anything I can do to help me increase it. I would love to reach D5 comfortably. Also, how should I go about learning to belt? Sometimes when I try to, I feel a "bad feeling" i my throat.

Instead of thinking how you can increase your chest voice range, think instead how you can blend constantly and evenly throughout your lower, middle, and upper registers. A truly even sound can come when we mix all three together. Think of the feeling you have in your upper register/head voice. You must learn how to blend this quality in your middle register. This mainly involves directing the sound through the mask. Full support and a completely relaxed throat are necessary. Practice singing in your middle register at diferent colors by adjusting the height of your soft palate. Keep the energy forward as you work on bridging the gap. Key point: the best way to work on bridging the gap is by training from the top down. Practice making siren sounds, beginning at the very top of your range and going all the way down. This is a good warmup when you're practicing with the specific goal you have in mind. Practice some scales and arpeggios, and begin them with the word "hung," then go "ne AH" upward, then "aaaaaaaah" downward, then up, then downward again all placed in the same spot where the placement for "hung" was. Good luck, and don't hesitate to do some research into vocal exercises by professionals. EDIT: Didn't see the last part about belting... Bridging the gap will also help with this. Belting can only be properly done with the mechanisms found in your middle and upper register. Mastering the blending of your voices will help you achieve this. By the way, if you have any sort of bad feeling in your throat, you need to relax your throat. Completely. All the effort should be in your breathing support system. Resonance is through relaxation and simple mental and physiological positioning.
