How can I improve my singing voice?

you don't want a pretty voice-that's boring.. you want a 'unique voice'.. one that stands out (y) anyway back to the question.. everyones born with their own individual voice, everyone has a different range- some people can go higher/lower than others, yes, singing lessons CAN help.. but they generally don't increase your range, they just help you develop what you have so your pitching and tone is much smoother.. but if you want to go for higher notes, i suggest you just go for it.. belt it out and go as loud as you want and you might suprise yourself with your abilities, confidence is everything (: also by singing higher songs that challenge you more regularly, that can also help.

I reckon, taking singing lessons myself, having them can help you reach your full potential. I would have never thought about reaching a high d# before them, hehe! Anyway, lessons can improve posture whilst singing, help you sing from back of throat and using diaphram, bascially improve your singing and techniques. Try doing 'scales', like going from c smoothly through to g, c# to g#, d to a etc this is one of many warm up exercises, that helps a great deal.

Singing lessons work wonders! But if you don't want to take them look on youtube for somebody who does teaching lessons. Or go to vioceofjennylyn.com, its a good site I have gone there many times. It teaches you how to sing correctly.
