I have a singing problem.

Problem with singing?

  • ok so i am having this problem with my singing voice; i have a broad range, but my problem is that when i sing the high notes really well, my low notes completely suck, but when i sing the low notes really well, my high notes really suck. It's like i'm in these "singing zones" and its one or the other. For some reason my voice is not strong on both sides at once. I hope this makes sense. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you!

  • Answer:

You sort of DO have two different "singing zones" - your head voice, and your chest voice. Your head voice is what you go into when you're singing higher notes, and the chest voice is what you use when you belt or sing lower notes. A voice teacher will be able to give you some exercises to help you blend the two together. If you can't take voice lessons, try asking the choir director at your school for some tips.
