How to stop being scared of singing in front of people?

  • I have tried to audition and i couldn't sing. i completely embarrassed myself when i couldn't get the words out right. I can't sing at all without someone singing with me... how can i get over this. i really love singing

    Hey! I think it's great that you tried, first of all, so well done! Really! You should take confidence in the fact that you want to audition and you gave it a shot. Now, the very best thing to get over your nerves is to sing in front of people you know and trust a few times. Just a small number of people, maybe close family and some friends. Treat it like it is a mini concert, and you'll start to get used to the feeling of performing in front of people. Do this a few times,and then you'll go into auditions knowing that you've sung for other people before, and you have conquered it! Good luck, Andrew

Singing more often; start singing all by yourself and find the state in which you feel more comfortable signing, your moves, how you stand, and then start singing with a few people around, maybe close friends, and then maybe some people you don't know and like that and you'll see with the time you'll be getting it over. The basic, is trusting yourself, and when singing, do not pay attention to people but, to yourself and to your own voice.

Just don't sing. If you all of a sudden do sing then just don't listen to anything anyone says about you, unless it's good. People often say you are bad but they actually think you are good, they only say you are bad because they are jealous or they think they are better. Hope it helps.
