How do you mimic someone's voice?

Is there a way to take someones voice from a song and put it on another song?

• My boyfriend's 18 year old brother passed away and was an amazing singer and recorded a few songs. This may be totally impossible, but just wondering if there was a way to take his voice from a previous song and put it on another song? We always wanted him to sing at our wedding, and I know it would be a nice gift to have his voice playing for the second half or something of our song.

  Did you want to replicate his voice or take what he sung (just the vocals) and put it onto another song? If you wanted to replicate, it's not something that you can do at home ( I doubt unless you have... stuff...) If you wanna take apart when he sung, then did he record his vocals separately from any other instruments he might've used? If he did record his vocals separately, then it's very easy. If he recorded it with another instruments then you have to manipulate the wave- it's hard. very complicated.
