Do you know any good singing coaches?

What is the difference between choir + personal singing classes?

  • So, some people may think that this is a pretty dumb question, but i really don't have any background information. If you would please, answer my questions. I want to join choir in my freshman year in high school because i want to learn how to sing better, but i'm not sure if i join, the result of getting better at singing is the same with taking personal singing classes. I really want to know if the choir teacher will teach the same with singing coaches and if joining choir will actually help you sing better. So thank you for taking your time to read + answer my questions.

  • Answer:

Choirs are great for practice and use of voice but its not going to make you improve as a singer. Personal Singing lessons are one on one, so everything is tailored to you and your voice. The teacher can really focus on what you need to work on and help you move from strength to strength.

Well, choir will teach you the basics and help you improve a little., but a choir teacher really doesn't have time to focus on every student and give them personal advice. In private singing lessons, the teacher can tell YOU how to improve your voice and technique, instead of making general comments to a group of people.
