How much would a good acoustic guitar cost?

How does a good acoustic guitar, amp, tuner, and strings cost?

  • how much do they cost all together. My dad is going to get me one for christmas and he wants to know how much it will probably cost i want a good acoustic guitar not a bad one.I am 14.and going to pick up guitar so thank you.

  • Answer:

You won't need an amp. A decent acoustic can be had for under $300. The Yamaha FG720S is a good choice but you may find a dreadnought sized guitar too big for you. Just go to your local music stores and ask to see their solid top acoustics, tell them you don't want anything with a laminate top. You may want to look at 00, 000 and Grand Concert sized guitars if the dreadnoughts feel too large. Strings are just a few bucks a set and you can get a good enough tuner for less than $20.

why do you want an amp with an acoustic? DO you mean an acoustic-electric? Well you usually get a tuner and strings with a new guitar purchase (and a guitar case). A decent price would be 300 dollars. Anything more and you might regret it by giving up guitar. Any less and most likely it's not gonna sound great. It won't be bad, just not as good as the more expensive one. You should always play and get a feel for a guitar though, you could fall in love with a 100 dollar guitar and save yourself lots of cash
