How hard is it to get into the music business?

I want a career in the music business. How can I get there?

My goal is to become a music producer. When I say that I don't I don't mean I want to become Dr. Dre or anything like that. I mean I want to go to school to educate myself and make a living like that. I've started playing around with software programs with making beats and plan on buying an Akai XR20 Drum Machine to make beats on that so I can get some practice and experience. Maybe one of you guys can point me in the right direction, or to another forum. Thanks!

you can search online to find school and find local artist 2 work with and produce for to start getting credits the most important thing is 2 get urself out there and never give up its a long hard road
