What makes a hip hop song a hip hop song?

• my does a hip hop song need to have in it so be considered a hip hop song or rap song. my friend says that "nigas in paris" by jay-z and kanye is a hip hop song but it kinda sounds pop to me and he says its a hip hop song because it has two rappers in it. and i said just kuz two rappers are in it doesnt make it a rap song. so what does a song need to have to be considered a rap song. serious answers only please
