What are stage conventions in drama/plays?

Trying to write lyrics. Here's my first rip at it. Thoughts?

• All for the Rush At first sight, you look like a nice man Tall, muscular, with a faint yet attractive tan I trace your eyes scanning my entire body Your eyes transmit a message that feels dirty and naughty My brain tells me to stop before I throw logic out the door But my heart has already left to dance to that beat you know I adore I don't want to think about tomorrow No more dwelling or worrying about my sorrow When the lights go down, I'm breaking out of this shell Call me a sinner, say I'm going straight to hell Nothing matters anymore. I just want to feel a rush Shirt low, skirt high Tighten that belt cuz we about to fly 6 inch heels, red lipstick Final touches for a night that's sick You ask us why we do it? IIt's not that we have daddy issues Or that we've been crying and using too many tissues Baby, we do it for the rush Just come here boy and dance with me I wanna feel that rush Shot after shot after shot after shot So I can feel that rush Whisper in my ear that my body's hot Cuz it makes me feel a rush We gonna act out all night long so we can feel that rush I yearn, I beg, I'm crazy for that rush I don't wanna be civilized and human anymore Don't wanna be locked up in societies cage no more People keep telling me to act my age But I just walk by them and dance wilder on the stage Like a predator hungry for its prey I'm craving that big rush So just let me have tonight Don't make me start a fight I want to feel alive, if only for a day Even if my actions don't seem okay I'm tired of feeling numb Trying to figure out life's sum Tired of making plans for the future instead of for today Because in the end, we're all dead anyway This is my way of escaping a reality that is endless You say one day being supressed will make you happy, but what is happiness? Often we don't understand the conventions we follow But feeling like you know something can feel less hollow So if you tell me I'm young and stupid, I'll tell you to hush Because baby, I do it all for the rush

  Wow. your First take???? wow. that is all extremely good, man. It all connects to this core emotion, this "Rush". "All For The Rush" is a great core emotion. whether its from a party, the presence of someone or something you admire or maybe getting that adrenaline feeling from something you really want to happen. its all good with me, man. :).
