What to wear on a Starbucks job interview?

First job interview Friday!!! Help!?

  • Ok so I've had work experience before, but I didn't have to go through the interviewing process, I was just hired. So I'm extremely nervous for my first official interview on Friday. I'm 16 and I applied to a Starbucks store inside of the local Target. I would be working at Starbucks, but I'm getting the interview from the Target people. Any advice? How should I act? What should I wear? Is wearing a high waisted skirt with a white blouse and heels be appropriate? What kind of people are they looking for? I'm really nervous because I really want to get a job in this economy. Any help is appreciated.

  • Answer:

the outfit sounds good, as long as the skirt isn't above your knees don't wear perfume or cologne (DO wear deodorant, LOL) Act nice, no swearing, if you have longer hair or bangs keep the hair out of your eyes, no gum chewing, but do have fresh breath, LOL you know all that, right? Make eye contact and listen to questions, don't cut people off when they are talking. Be prepared to answer questions like, "Where do you see yourself in five years?" You could say something like, "Working for a great company like this, while finishing up with college." or something to that effect (if true). Be prepared for questions like that. Some people might ask you to tell them a joke - tell them something juvenile but keep it CLEAN, like, "Knock, knock, who's there, Ana, Ana who? Ana Banana" that's a TOTALLY stupid not even really a joke but it will make them think you can think on your feet and are prepared. Take a couple extra clean unbent copies of your resume with you in a neat folder. GOOD LUCK

reasonable length of heels for a 16 year old a suitable dress or skirt dress for the type of job offered.

Your outfit sounds great. For your interview remain positive, speak clearly with no slang, and offer to work hard. Do not be too demanding with your schedule but it is ok to ask the number of hours, pay, etc.
