Does going on gap year actually improve you C.V?

I'm 22 and i have been out of employment for over a year, and now my CV looks bad.....What can i do?

  • Basically i was working for a large supermarket (UK) and i was there for 6 months, i then had a major knee operation which put me out of work for months, then i decided in August of last year that i wanted to go to University, so i went through clearing stage and got offerered a place but then my student finance fell through, and now i'm stuck looking for a job again after i quit my supermarket job because i thought i was going to University. That means that there is a big gap of unemployment on my CV where i was off through my knee injury, and i have only worked 2 jobs and my other job was when i was 16/17 but then i left that to go to college. What do i do? I feel like a loser with no experience on my CV, and i also suffer from Social Anxiety which makes it difficult to be around a lot of people.
