Tips for getting a job please?

Tips on getting a first job? Help please?

• I'm 16 and I've been applying to jobs for the past few weeks. I applied to be a cashier at two grocery stores and most recently applied to be a cashier at Petco. I really, really want this job at Petco, but I haven't heard back yet from the employers, even though I only applied 3 days ago. People have told me to call them and continuously bug them about hiring me, but I feel like that wouldn't be a good idea. I haven't had a job before so I'm new to this. Should I just wait or should I call them and talk to them. If so what should I say?

  After a week, visit again and ask to speak to the manager. Dress conservatively, remove any piercings, and cover any tattoos. Be respect-full, friendly and outgoing and ask if they have any more questions you could answer and tell him or her that you really would like the job. It's ok if you seem a little nervous or lack confidence. Everyone has had that experience and your future employer has had it too. Good luck, and if the first few don't work, keep applying. You don't need to wait on the first several in order to apply at more places. Try to never just fill out an application and walk away. You need to speak to the manager and make a good impression.
