How to start your modeling career?

Hey how do you start a career in modeling?

• I'm 15 and a girl and I would like to start a career in modeling but I think it's crazy, hard and don't know how to. My step dad doesn't think I'm good enough and I'm pretty sure models have to look and be thin as!

  Very few people can be models - you need that perfect combination of height, body type, facial features, posture, fierce walk, confidence, and that indescribable factor that makes people want to keep looking at you. It's not beauty per se - someone like Kate Moss or Tyra Banks or Lily Cole is not classically beautiful but they have interesting faces you want to look at You need to be 5'8" - 6'1' with VERY few exceptions Your measurements need to be within 1" of 34-24-34 to fit into designer sample sizes, UNLESS you are a plus size model where your measurements should be within 1" of 42-32-42 Your inseam needs to be more than 1/2 of your total height You need a defined jawline, long neck, high cheekbones, wide set eyes, perfectly symmetrical facial features and perfect skin You need to be incrediblly photogenic - the type of person who can't seem to take a bad picture. That does not mean beautiful - we all have pretty friends who don't look great in pictures, and average friends who look really pretty in pictures
