College degree that would be useful torwards a career in the beauty industry?

I really want to be a cosmetologist, but my parents want me to go to college first...are there any degrees that would help me out in this field for I plan on going to school for it once i graduate?

Why don't you go to college and start working part time in the beauty industry? Put some money aside, then by the time you finish it, you might just have enough money and know-how to start your own place. Either way, at least as a backup plan, a college degree is a good plan.

you should go to beauty school. you dont need a college degree. But if your parents want you to, just take whatever you want becuase if you have a degree you will be way ahead of everyone else. Just pick something that interests you. There are so many majors.
