Does Target hire full time?

What is wrong with me? Why won't anybody hire me? What should I do now?

  • I am a 32 year old man. I have been working the same part-time job since I was 18(paper carrier). I graduated from college with a Bachelors degree in tv production. I didn't intern or anything. I have been trying to get a job at a local tv news station. I have emailed my resumes so many times I have stopped getting responses. My dream is to move to NYC and work there. Anyway, nobody will hire me. I can't even get a job as a sales person at Lowe's. How am I supposed to gain experience I nobody will hire me? What am I supposed to do now? Lowes won't hire me. Target won't hire me. Best buy won't hire me. Banks won't hire me. I don't know what else to do here. Is there something wrong with me? Am I really the loser I am starting to think I am? Btw, I'm also still living at home with my parents. I want to be able to afford to move out but I have other bills to pay. And I also graduated from college in 2007.

  • Answer:

I'm sorry to hear that. Don't lose hope; you never know what life will throw at you. Your dream job could be around the corner for all you know. Maybe you need to further your education or do some free lance work for experience to write down on your current resume. Also, you do live in Chicago and the economy sucks so those might be other factors. I lived at home too. It's not shameful if you have goals. It's only shameful if you are in the same place you are now 5 years from now AND you didn't try. Good luck!
