What does it take to become a receptionist?

How do you become a receptionist..do i have to go to school for it?

  • Im 18 and graduated from HS in june and Iv decided that I want to be a secretary of some sort.. Im wondering do i have to go to school to become a receptionist?...how long will it take? it doesn't really matter where it could be anywhere... like a dental office, medical office, salon, animal clinic etc..and do i really need to know how to type fast?..im a decent typer im not slow but im not fast...and what other qualifications do you need? thanks :)

    Go to a temp agency and see if they can place you in an office job. You shouldn't need a formal education as long as you have basic typing and computer skills,
