Do you have to call after sending an application?

Would it seem rude of me to call the company I applied to?

  • I've been searching for a Receptionist job and I've been sending out my resume to any company I could find, but I haven't been receiving call backs. Would it seem rude of me to call one of the companies and ask if he or she come across my resume/application? Finding jobs are hard and it's hard not to get discourage, so I also don't want to seem desperate.

  • Answer:

no it wouldn't be rude. some jobs will just think that you're really interested in the position because you took the time to call and check on your application status. don't give up!

Yes, I don't see any problem with that. In fact, that's the thing that applicants must do. The people in the company must be very busy and have not time or might forget about you. Contacting them would be brilliant- ask them if they have received your resume and see what they have to say about that. Good luck.
