Non-IT jobs/careers for someone who has an IT degree and can't stand it?
-
I'd like to know if anyone knows of or could name/list any reasonably-paying jobs/careers I might look into under these circumstances. The reason for this is that I have an IT degree, but I honestly got it under pressure from other people, and now would really like to be able to find another NON-minimum-wage career/job that doesn't land me in this field, in an office, especially behind a desk, because I've found that I can't really handle the enviroment, type of stress, and lack of mobility/activity. And I know IT would make me a lot of money and is in demand; I've just reached the conclusion that it's really not worth it to me. It doesn't have to be something that'd make me fabulously-wealthy, but it does need to be something I can support myself (just me, I don't have or want a family) on reasonably-comfortably/stably. I had considered going back to school for something else (preferably something creative--that's the only thing I much really like at all, but never got to learn it), but it's difficult to make a living on, and also, it's become too much of an issue (going back to school for something else, period) considering the people I'm going to have to continue to live with until I'd be able to finish. Now I've been just trying to find a job in an alternate setting/field/etc. that I can go on and get; I was told long ago that 'as long as I had a degree in something from a decent school', I could get a decent job elsewhere, and that it didn't even have to *be* in this setting/field if I didn't want it to be. However, for my looking, I've not been able to find any non-desk/office jobs, or anything really not strictly IT, period, for people who have degrees in it. Any suggestions would be helpful, but please, don't comment just to leave sarcastic 'suggestions' ('go kill urself', etc.), or tell me to 'get over it', because it's a waste of time and text, and I'm not going to be paying it any attention.

Answer:
i know where you're coming from.. Ü i myself, am an IT graduate, but i don't think i could handle a CAREER in IT at all, no matter how big the pay I can get from it. i don't care, it's just not for me and i'm not into it. and yep - if ever i would have to do a job in IT I prefer to have ones that would make a lot use of the arts too.. for this i would suggest getting into Animation perhaps? or maybe work as part of the Quality Assurance team for IT products.. or even easier, you may also look into being a technical writer - not as mind-boggling but still an IT job.
