A job for a 17 year old in medicine?

  • A job for a 17 year old in medicine? I know there are a lot of legal issues, but does anyone know of a career at least medical related that I could participate in. That is my interest for college and I would like some real world experience. Any suggestions? I am a hard worker who has worked on a dairy farm, at dairy queen and volunteered at a number of agencies over the years, including a summer volunteering at a hospital.

    If there is a volunteer fire department or ambulance service try volunteering there. Look into the Red Cross for volunteers. No one can pay you at your age for work in the medical field. Unless of course you work in the cafeteria of a hospital or something.

Your best bet would go get your Nurse Aid certification and work in a hospital. There's nothing else you can do at your age and with no experience/degree/certifications.

At your age and in this economy, you'd be lucky to get a job at burger king. Wait until you are in college before you look for a job like that. Or keep volunteering at the hospital if experience is all you are looking for.
