Why some companies refuse to go global?

Does anyone ever actually get a job when they go to a job fair?

  • I might be going to one tomorrow, but I want to know if it is just a big waste of time. I have never been to one before, so I don't even know what to wear! What kinds of companies are usually at this sort of thing? I am not looking for a super great job, but I refuse to work at minimum wage, because I am a hard worker and I am worth more than 7.25 a hour. I am hoping to make about 10 a hour or more, although I could go a little lower for training. I haven't worked in about a year and a half due to the fact I had my baby, so I am a little out of touch with the whole job search thing. Any advice you have would be great. PLEASE DON'T TROLL AND POST LINKS TO WEBSITES. I want peoples actual opinion, not just what you get paid to tell me.

  • Answer:

You REFUSE to work for minimum wage? You are more than a little out of touch. Unless you have some kind of skill then expect to start at or near minimum. That attitude will keep you unemployed a long time.

It depends on how many companies actually go there, and what they're looking for. Some companies really are looking for interns, while others just want to get their name out ther
