Pls Help Got A Receptionist Job Interview Next Week?

• Hi ive got my first ever job interview next week and am extremely nervous I was wondering if you can kindly help me. i don't have anything to do in the weekends so i thought id get a receptionist job i love working with the public and enjoy helping them can you please give me an example how should i answer this question tell me about yourself also what do you think of this answer - well ive always wanted to be a receptionist ever since i was a kid i just loved everything about the job i love meeting new people and helping them ive always been a friendly person I believe i can overcome peoples problems also ive never had a previous receptionist job or have any experience so what should i tell them if they ask me me

  I wouldn't tell them you've wanted to be a receptionist ever since you were a kid - unless it's true. Just tell them you enjoy greeting people and helping them. They may ask if you know what a receptionist actually does. In spite of what you see in the movies, they don't get to sit there polishing their nails! They often answer phones, make coffee, lie for their boss ("I'm sorry, he's in a meeting now.") , do various kinds of recordkeeping on paper or on the computer, accept deliveries of supplies or whatnot, etc. It's fine to say you don't have prior experience, but try to find examples of times where you did greet people or answer phones or help people, to show you have those skills. It could be you did something at school or church or camp, or for a fundraiser or scouts.
