  The good jobs are NOT on the internet. Job sites are just another way to sell advertising space. Most successful companies already have a recruiting department to separate the wheat from the chaff. Most universities will have visiting company reps regularly looking for talent or muscle. If you're looking for a "job" and not a "career" - most retailers are always hiring. I mention retail as a "job-hunt" and not "career" at this moment in time because most large retailers will outside-hire higher paying positions, and have an unusually long lone of inside help applying for management positions. Regardless of who you find yourself in front of, business is business. If you're a mumbler, dirty, or impolite, your contact person (company recruiter/rep/guy on phone/person taking your application) will not pass your information or paperwork along.
