What would you need to major in for this job?

What do i say? I need this job desperatly!!!!?

  • What do i say? I need this job desperatly!!!!? Ok, I have been working at my job for 11 years. I am desperatly in need of a second job. I have been looking "forever"! I finally found one that works around my schedule. The problem is: I have orientation on Thursday and the other girl at my main job is out all week. The manager leaves at 2:30. My orientation is at 2:00 for my second job. I can't ask for the day off as the manager will say no because the other girl is on vacation. It is not a job where you see people. It is just a office job and when we leave we transfer the phones to the answering service in case anyone calls. I HAVE TO go to this orientation as I already cancelled one time due to not having enough time to tell my job I was going (they called 2 hours bfore orientation) please help! I have to go. I can't tell the manager as she will say NO you have to be here. I have to go if I want this job and I need this job so badly......What can I tell my manager why I am not coming in????? Serious answers only please....

  • Answer:

If you have been working for your company for 11 years, chances are, they wont be quick to let you go. Even though you know your boss will say no, I would explain your situation to him in detail. Explain to him that you are in need of this second income to make ends meet and that it's very important that you be at your orientation. I wish the best for you!
