Do hospitals hire teenagers?

Do hotels/hospitals hire 18 year-olds with minimal experience?

  • I'm 18 years old with 10 months of host experience and I need a second job that's at night (around 11pm-7am), and the only places I can think of that have those kind of shifts are hotels and hospitals. But do they hire at that age with that experience?

  • Answer:

I think you've got a pretty good chance. You've got almost a year experience than someone with none, and I think hotels are usually more lenient when hiring for 3rd shift.

cant hurt to try, just go in and tell them you're interested

How about a nursing home, such as LifeCare Center. It's a place where elderly people go who have a lot of health needs and can no longer care for themselves, and their families have judged that a health care facility can give them better care than they could. My mom lives in a place like that, and they are so desperate for people to work there to change bed pans, etc, that they hire non-English speaking people with no training in the field and no healthcare experience. 18 year-olds too. So you sound like you'd be more than qualified, and a place like that would LOVE to have you aboard, since you have experience in that field, and are interested in pursuing it further.
