What degree do you need to have for a career in Public Relations?
-
I'm interested in the PR world and want to know how it is and what is the best way to pursue it.
-
Answer:
You should pursue a degree in Communications, possibly even in Journalism. Take plenty of marketing classes as well. As far as first-hand experience, I would volunteer for political campaigns and with non-profits. They won't let you write releases right away, but you can at least see how the wheels turn, and be involved in some feet-on-the-street PR activities.
