Canadian Video Game Career? What to do?

I live in Ontario Canada, and i'm a gr.11 student, I want to pursue a career in the video game industry and my several questions were: 1) what Universities and Colleges offer great courses in the field of work? 2) what courses or prerequisites should I choose for my gr. 12 year to prepare for the post secondary school that can lead me to a career in video games and electronic entertainment? Small career field, limited job opportunities, not steady employment. Only people making money are the ones that can design and sell their own products to big companies for mass production.
