What is an "open" interview?

I can't make the open day on time because I have an interview. What should I say?

  • I have an interview on the 13th and it's at 9:45am. But then I have to attend an information open day at Citizens Advice Bureau. The letter states "information/open day for volunteer support workers to be held on Tuesday 13th October 2009 at ____________Road starting from 11am till 1pm. The problem is I can make it before 1pm but not exactly at 11am. I'm not sure what they mean by open day. Would there be some sort of presentation and must I make it on time at 11am exact. My interview in the morning is very important, and I don't want to lose this opportunity either.

Personally I think that letters are excellent, provided they are written utilising excellent syntax and spelling (always use a spill chucker!). You can secure some excellent guidance for creating letters by checking out the website in the box below, it's got lots of other things about job hunting additionally.
