How To Prepare For Pharmaceutical Quality Job Interview?

How to prepare for a job interview?

  • My husband received a call today that hew as short listed for a government position and they set up an interview date and time. Believe it or not my husband has never had a formal job interview before and he is quite nervous about it. He has either been self employed, as he currently is or in younger days he always walked into jobs or was simply sought for employment positions because of his reputation in the community we reside. I have been in the same position for over 20 years so I am not up to date on interviewing stuff anymore myself. Can anyone provide some tips and Information on preparing for a job interview...particularly a government position... is a suit required to be worn for the interview, what about handshaking these days, typical interviewing questions..any information that might help him win this position...any help/suggestions greatly are appreciated!

  • Answer:

Well, you have to dress appropriate for the job and think about what type of questions to answer to because the interviewer will ask you important questions about your life and you'd want to answer with a good answer so the interviewer will think you'r good for the job. (: YOUR WELCOME (:

Because it is a government position, I would recommend wearing a suit with a tie. Bring a copy of your resume with your skills. Most of the questions they will ask are what are your skills and what can the company benefit from you. What can you bring to our company. These are generally most of the similar questions that most job interviewers ask. They might ask about your strengths and weaknesses as a employee. Sometimes they will give a scenario or situation and ask you how would you respond or what would you do. I would recommend doing some research about the company online. Sometimes they would ask what do you know about our company. Also make sure to ask questions. Most interviewers want the employee to ask questions about the job or questions about the job position. Just be confident and don't give the interviewer the impression that you are nervous. Make sure to shake the interviewer's hand and introduce yourself before anything and at the end of the interview make sure to shake their hand and thank them for their time.

What I do to prepare for an interview is to try and think of questions they will ask me. "Why do you want to work for us?" "Name one of your strengths and one of your weaknesses." "What you do think you can bring to our company?" Look up job interview example questions online and have him practice. I like to write it down on a piece of paper and carry that with me to the interview. I read it just before walking in the door of the place. I also write down/practice things that I want to say for example, "although I have never done this type of work before, I think I can learn quickly and do an excellant job." When he is going over his strengths and weaknesses, try thinking of honest answers. I also say that I suffer from anxiety and sometimes I struggle through some of my job responsibilities. But over the years, I have learned to approach my coworkers or supervisor when I am having a rough day and seak help. It's a weakness of mine but I work with it and hope that my job does too.
