Which career is better ?

I dont know which career to choose, which do you think would be better?

  • Occupational therapist or elementary teacher. OT requires a masters, which will take me 4 years to complete. Elementary teacher will take me 2 years. The pay is a lot better for an OT...not really worried about that, I'm just torn between which I should choose. Which do you think would be better and why?

    Teachers have sweet jobs. They always ***** and complain about pay and such, but they are salaried pretty well with set schedules, get every weekend off. They work in doors in a self-supervised setting with great security. They get presidents day mlk jr day tons of professional days off, a planning period, One week for spring break, TWO weeks for Christmas and did I forget to mention that they get the whole summer OFF covered by their salary? Yeah, I'd go with teacher; if teaching is something that suits you.

It depends what your reasons are for wanting each career. Choose the one you think you will enjoy most, as someone who is in university doing a course for a well paying job which i know i won't enjoy much, trust me when i say that you want to love your career. Also, is there a way you can do both?
