Hello to you,I will try and give bullet points...Dress accordingly, use eye to eye contact introduce yourself, any previous knowledge you may have of this employer could be helpful..i.e..look them up on the internet,or library.call employer by his name when he introduces himjself...Questions he may ask e.g.why do you want to work for this company?a tricky one, anything you know about the company...Link you CV with what he is looking for, that is find out about the job you are going for....and relax good luck

Yes. Know as much as you can about the company. Sprinkle that knowledge during the conversation. Interview the interviewer with a lot of questions that show your interest and your knowledge. You are not trying to set a good example (as you say in your question); you are trying to give a good impression. Keep eye contact as much as possible both when the interviewer is speaking and when you are speaking. Do not be afraid to say "I don't know" (or something similar) when you don't. Try to have an opinion on things (but again don't be afraid to say I don't know). Read up on current events in the news (especially things related to retail (e.g. Macy's closing stores, Circuit City going bankrupt etc.) Dress professionally but comfortably. Do not squirm and try to maintain your composure. Do not interrupt; do not speak while they are speaking; think before you speak. Do not pick out something in the office(pictures, baseball etc.) to comment on (this is usually considered smoozing and is not cool, unless the subject comes up). Get some sleep and know about the position you are interviewing for. Good luck. Oh, follow up with a letter after the interview thanking the person for the time and expressing additional interest in the job.

First dress for success, conservative - dress or pants suit. Know something about the job and the company that you are applying to. Possible interview questions: Tell us about yourself. In you present or past job could you give us some examples of problem solving, leadership or innovative ideas you had. What are some of your strong points? Weak points & how do you overcome them. What makes you more qualified than other applicants. Good luck
