How hard is it to find a job right now?

Is it really that hard to find a job right now in the UK?

• I live in the UK, I'm 16 and I'm looking for part-time or at least evening full-time work (so that it doesn't clash with school). I don't desperately need money, but I want to get work experience, and plus it's always nice to have cash when you need it, although I get £30 a week in EMA as I'm doing A-Levels and I don't go out much, anyway, but still. I don't really care about the type of job, whether it's picking fruit or McDonalds, I just need something else to keep me busy. However, there's all this crap about recession, so would I have much luck?
