Has anyone had any every used a career counselor and did it help you?

    I recommend speaking with someone who has experience in the area you may want to work in. You may also want to volunteer in that field to see what it is like. For example, if you think you may want to have a medical career, see if you can volunteer at a hospital. Yes I have, and no it didn't help I went to one of the local offices of the California Employment Development Department and made an appointment with the Veteran's Affairs representative. All of the the advice they gave me was the same kind of information I was getting from everyone else. None of it helped get me a job. It all came down to me doing it all on my own. Some help!
