Childcare and Development-what careers are available with this course?

• heey, I live in the UK and I am starting a new course in September, at Sixth Form, called Childcare and Development. I chose this course because I like the idea of working with children. I'll be doing this course for two years and it is a BTEC course. I'm not sure what would happen after completeing this course and what career I can go into. I would really like to hear from someone that knows a lot about this course already or has gone into a career afterwards etc. I am also studying phsycology as part of the whole course. I heard that you could go straight into a job, but one thing for sure, I don't want to become a teacher as I feel that this career would not suit me because of confidence etc. Thank you!
