How to write a Business letter and Resume?

Do you send recommendation letter with resume?

  • So I got laid off a few weeks ago because the company I worked for went out of business. My boss was kind enough to write me a recommendation letter explaining what my duties were and Im a good employee and an asset, etc.. Do I send this letter to a potential employer with my resume or do I give it to them during an interview? I would think in this bad job market that it would be a bigger bang to send it with my resume since they are getting probably being flooded with resumes, and the letter might make me stand out more.

  • Answer:

YES!... send it with your resume... Toot your own horn... because nobody is going to toot it for you.

Other answers

ya, send it with resume becuase you never know if u are gonna get any interviews

The other answers are incorrect - a letter of recommendation may be listed at the bottom of a resume, the same as "references avail on request" but not with the resume; it will be discarded right away
